Collaborative Project with Fashion Designer Bas Kosters

The Joy Booth is an immersive, human-scale installation designed to guide participants through a sensory experience exploring the complex emotion of joy. The physical environment features tactile textiles, scents and AV-elements to engage multiple senses. As visitors enter the space, by crawling through a hidden door in the sculpture, they encounter joy-related memories, sensations, and meanings. The experience culminates by having participants reflect inside the belly of a giant fabric sculpture, contemplating what brings them happiness. This multi-modal spatial environment was crafted to emotionally resonate through rich textures, colors, sounds, words, and motions.
